Summer Tips for Your Garden

1) Watering is essential in the mid-late summer when the weather is dry and hot, so you have to ensure your plants get the necessary daily quantity of water to survive the season. Please pay attention to the amount of water to avoid overwatering. If you want extra help, an Irrigation system may be a good idea; our partner company Gardenin’ Angels, can help you with Irrigation installation.

2) Deadhead and prune are always a good idea! When you remove the spent blooms of your plants, you allow them to rebloom, get more flowers, and grow, making your garden beautiful. This step is crucial if you are Pruning perennials for Pollinators because more blooms equal more pollen and nectar.

3) Pay attention to the Weeds, don’t let them take over your garden. If you want to protect your garden from excessive weed growth, you may need to add mulch to the garden.

4) Add mulch! Mulch is important not just to control weed but to protect your soil from high temperatures and keep it moist. Don’t forget: We sell landscaping supplies, including mulch (Pine bark, Hemlock, Black, and Red Cedar), and we provide same-day delivery.

5) Look at pests and diseases in your yard. As Weeds, pests are harmful to your plants. Black spots, rust, and powdery mildew are a few midsummer common problems. We hope this blog helps you with your garden; now, enjoy the summer!!
